Which One Is Better in 2021? Job  VS Business

Should you start a business or get a job the answer may surprise you  that's why am I qualified to talk about this well I've done both I've had jobs I was the director of marketing for an agency that hit the Inc 5000 fastest-growing companies four times and I was a low-level guy I worked my way up I had an entire career art before I was an entrepreneur I know I look young but I started young and I got a lot done quick so I've worked lower down as a cold caller I've been a low-level salesman I've had plenty of jobs and I've started businesses in multiple industries

I want so from that point of view what is my advice should you start a business or should you get a job well let's first talk about what a job provides a job is gonna give you the stability you're not gonna worry about where your money's coming from every month and it gives you less emotional ups and downs for instance if you have a job and you just know that you can show up at your Jimmy John's job and deliver sandwiches you're not gonna be crying every day because you're an ultimate failure at life

I mean maybe you will when you're 40 years old but you're not gonna do that when you're young you kind of know what to expect from your office job or from your retail job and you're just gonna keep doing it day in and day out it's very consistent and it's hard to show you what that's like unless you live on the other side of it

So let me show you what entrepreneurship looks like and maybe you'll reconsider entrepreneurship but first let's talk about the benefits here starting a company will provide you with freedom and stream amount of freedom to only hang out with people that you actually like to go wherever you want to go to work only the hours you want to work if you're an early bird like me you wake up at 5:00 6:00 a.m. work at 5:00 or 6:00 a.m. if you're a night person start your  job at 9:00 p.m. nobody gives you don't have a job you don't have a boss

you're good to go and the thing that some people don't talk about is it is an extreme ego boost to win if your company is doing well I got to tell you because we've been here so many times you feel like you are the prince the person that is pulling the strings you're helping all these people succeed you have all of these clients that are winning you have people on your team that are happy that are fulfilled in their lives and you're providing all of this I mean it's a drug it's 100 percent a drug but it's also an emotional and financial rollercoaster to be an entrepreneur some years you're a millionaire

you're living in a nice apartment everything's going great you have all these friends other years you're so broke that you want to start digging in the trash because you can't even afford a meal or you're down to your last $20 or you're in $20,000 in debt but that's in the beginning if you can push through that it is the greatest life that I've ever found because you can do whatever you want any day any time you can go days without even knowing what day it is and no one judges you you can play video games for ten hours a day you can go, date girls, you can go even party

I don't recommend partying because I think it messes with you but you can do that if you want you can live anywhere it's wild but getting to that point to this point where I am right now is to put it lightly a nightmare I was close to suicide so many times I talked about that in the past videos some days you feel like a God for every day that you feel like a God, in the beginning, there are maybe four days that you feel like you should just give up and that doesn't mean suicide that just means like maybe go get a job somewhere or roll over and just not get out of bed and it's a common thing for entrepreneurs

I was just talking to a coaching client who's wife is starting a business and they're both crying together he and her are freaking wrecked but the thing about that is I talk to them on a Wednesday and they were wrecked I were talking about how this is the most horrifying experience of their life like they're crying and hugging each other and like trying to hype each other up to get through it by Friday they hit their sales goal and he sent me a message with  so many exclamation points that you would not believe so it's a roller coaster nobody's saying that entrepreneurship is easy but if you can get through that it does become easier and the thing is some days we'll still feel like that

when Corona hit and our sales dropped 75% and I had to figure out how to rebuild our business along with our team and now our sales are doing better than ever and I can look back and be like whoa we're so amazing but that period was very tough I don't show it because I'm good at what I do you know it's better to not show that stuff because I know it's all temporary right I wouldn't be on a coaching call talking about how I'm crying and my business is failing because I know if I wait two days I'm not gonna be crying

Anymore because of how the roller-coaster but if you haven't experienced it before I see why you would do that and the thing is the roller-coaster does get easier the more you do it I rarely cry these days because my entire life feels completely out of what starting a company is gonna give you freedom it's gonna give you that ego boost but it is a crazy rollercoaster that has destroyed lives and relationships and you just gotta know

what you're getting into when you start a business versus having the stability of a job with the job you're trading that short-term stability for at least for me it would have been long-term regret if I was still at that agency now 28 years old about to be 29 I just put myself in my shoes right there the only thing I could do is quit and start a business so if I did that for 40 years 50 years who knows how much regret I would be filled with so I would have had that nice salary stability and all that but I would regret my entire life that is a wasted life and I think if you feel like that you sit 100% be an entrepreneur and if you don't feel like that and you think you know what I can be the VP of a major bank that's okay

I'm gonna be happy for the rest of my life definitely do that instead of being an entrepreneur the only reason why I'm an entrepreneur that I couldn't do that because it sucked every day.I want to be creating I want to be moving forward and not working under somebody or fulfilling somebody else's mission right I want to be doing my thing providing for my life not having a boss yell at me and if  you're in it be an entrepreneur and if that's not you please go get a job its way easier to have a job than it is to go through this nonsense only do it if you really have to do it

So what do I recommend get a job or become an entrepreneur if you really want to be an entrepreneur get a job that funds you first so make sure that your bills are paid from your job then work on your business at least two times harder than you work at that job and then once you match your income with your selling skills with your new business then you can quit and go become an entrepreneur

That's  the reason why I recommend getting a job even if you know in your heart of hearts that you want to be an entrepreneur is that trying to be an entrepreneur without having money will lead you to stupid decisions that will increase the pain that you feel on this roller coaster you'll take on bad clients that have money right now that might not value your work so highly so someone will pay you $200 for marketing go for it

You don't have any money versus if you had a job you could wait until somebody would pay you 2,000 or 20,000 for the same exact work following email 10k, by the way, hop in our course that teaches you exactly how to go after companies that will pay you the 20k instead of the 200 for the exact same work but trying to be an entrepreneur without that money will lead to you making stupid decisions or planting land mines I call them and I call them landmines because you don't even know that they exist

When you're doing them like you're making these decisions and these mistakes all the time you don't even realize it until they blow up at a couple years and you're getting sued by somebody or you've completely botched the project that you thought you had in the bag you don't know any of that's happening until it happens and I've had to go through all of that stuff and hopefully through that I've had to go through so the fix to avoiding all that is to already have money coming in and don't be afraid to get a job even if you are an entrepreneur like if my business started going too far south and I wasn't able to save it during Corona

I would have started working at a company I got no shame and that ends while I was doing that I would be starting my own business in a heartbeat I was he I would have even gone to work at a Starbucks I don't care there's no ego in this I'll go from this life to Starbucks again I'll go from this life to Jimmy John's it was a Jimmy John's down the street I could work there's no ego in it it's survival luckily I didn't have to do that because we actually were able to solve our business and we're more successful now than we were before in another universe

I'm at Starbucks right now serving coffee we're in a mask so get a job first and then start a business that's what I did and that's what worked pretty well for me it's a pretty good strategy and if you have a job already and you want to escape it join email 10k will teach you exactly what to do how to get your clients via cold email how to grow your business how to get case studies

I'm Alex Furman and I've been able to grow a services business by over 1 million dollars in revenue and get to work with billion-dollar customers, for instance, you ever built a website for a restaurant you might get $500 but if you build that same website for a financial services firm they will pay you $50,000 for the exact same website.
